More than twenty years in the IT, telecoms and
printing markets have given Catherine a strong
background in B2B product management and business
development along with an in-depth knowledge of
digital printing, document imaging and office
automation. This hands-on experience, combined
with her firm philosophy of dealing with people
not problems is reflected in her record of successful
projects.
Armed with a BA (Hons) in Business Studies, Postgraduate
Diploma in Marketing, Certificate in E-Marketing
and self-confessed in-built bossiness, Catherine
improved not only market penetration but also
profitability for global businesses including
Canon, Hewlett Packard, Océ, Samsung, Xerox
and Ricoh.
During her five-year stint as European General
Manager for InfoTrends, Catherine was responsible
for turning the European arm of the US-based consultancy
into a fully profitable organisation, managing
an annual budget of $1.5m, rolling out new research
and conference initiatives and creating strategic
alliances.
Catherine has a tried and true track record in
the building and management of effective, enthusiastic
teams, delivering projects not only on time but
more unusually within budget. She puts this down
to knowing when tea and sympathy are in order
as much as to her professional market research,
and communications background.
A frequent speaker for high profile global corporations
on business development, strategic marketing and
technology trends, Catherine has the knack of
turning a so-so seminar into something completely
different. And it’s a well-known fact in
the industry that nobody snoozes on Catherine’s
watch! Her own regular business workshops reflect
her view that a problem tackled early is a problem
solved easily.
Catherine is an Executive Associate of the Institute
for Independent Business, a full member of the
Chartered Institute of Marketing, an Associate
Member of the Market Research Society and a member
of the Institute of Directors.
